From a young age, Eric James has been drawn to the various aspects of construction. Growing up in rural Georgia with a dad who enjoyed carpentry, there were always opportunities to learn the basics of construction. Whether farming, building barns, boat docks, pond dams or pouring concrete driveways, Eric’s father invested in his future by involving him in these types of projects. It was during these early years when a passion for building grew within Eric.
Since graduating from Southern Polytechnic State University in 1995 in Civil Engineering, Eric has been a part of the construction industry. His first two years out of school entailed working with Technology Park/Atlanta as a Project Manager at their Johns Creek development. At the end of that period of time, he joined forces with Harcon, Inc., a concrete construction company. During his tenure, Eric was involved in all facets of the business. He began working in the field in order to gain the valuable experience necessary to understand the complex phases of job execution. Through the years, he advanced to managing all operational aspects for the majority of the company’s southeastern markets. Today, Eric is well seasoned in all areas of concrete construction including vision casting, business development, estimating, budgeting, scheduling and managing the execution of projects.
Eric has been an active member of Associated General Contractors, Associated Builders and Contractors where he served on the Board of Directors and various committees. Additionally, he has served as a member of the Construction Management Industry Advisory Board at Southern Polytechnic State University. He currently serves on the Board of Deacons and the Building Committee at Christ Community Church.
Eric and his wife, Paige, have two children, Mackenzie and Mason, and live in Cumming, GA. When not working, Eric invests his time in family and church. He also enjoys playing golf, fishing and hunting.

Kevin Coppock
Kevin grew up in the small rural town of Heflin, AL. His father worked for the U.S. Forest Service and his mother worked for Sewell Manufacturing. With his dad working in the forestry industry, it was only natural that the family spent summers camping and enjoying the outdoors. Kevin was especially fond of swimming, fishing and hiking through the mountains of the Talladega National Forest. After high school, Kevin attended Southern Union Junior College for two years while he pursed his first love, baseball. While at Southern Union, he experienced some difficulty hitting the curve ball so decided it best to achieve an education that would lead him to a more stable career.
After completing his studies at Southern Union, Kevin transferred to Auburn University where he received a degree in civil engineering. While at Auburn, he worked a co-op for Alabama Power. It was during this time when he decided to pursue a career in the construction industry. Upon graduation, he began working for CECO Concrete Construction. While there he had the opportunity to be involved in projects such as the Dolphin Stadium in Miami. After several years in South Florida, Kevin relocated to Atlanta to begin what would prove to be a twenty-five-year career at United Forming, Inc. Starting out as a Project Manager, he was able to advance to Senior Vice President with the company. Despite his success with United, Kevin realized he missed the hands-on, day to day activity that building offered. As a result of this awareness, he started exploring opportunities that may exist for him with Eric James at Cornerstone. In 2016, Kevin made the transition to Cornerstone as Vice President. He manages business development and sales pipeline for the business and finds his greatest enjoyment in the areas of scheduling and logistics.

Clint Wells
Clint was exposed to the construction industry from a young age by his father. He would spend his high
school and early college years helping his father on residential construction projects in Gulf Shores, AL.
This is when Clint met the love of his life, Misti Smith. Clint and Misti transferred to Auburn University,
got married, and started a family. Clint received a degree in Civil Engineering and supported his family
by working in construction. He and Misti are blessed with three wonderful children, Joshua, Jason, and
Rachel.
He joined Harcon, Inc. in February of 1997 as a Project Engineer. Within three years, he was given the
opportunity to start a District Office in Birmingham, AL. During that time, he managed all aspects of a
full-service district with projects across multiple southeastern states. Clint was eventually promoted to
Vice President of Operations overseeing multiple Districts covering the southeast.
Pursuing a healthy balance in life, Clint stepped away from Harcon for a time. With God’s timing being
perfect, He reunited Clint and Eric at Cornerstone Forming through non-work-related avenues. They
quickly realized that their philosophies and priorities aligned, and Clint joined Cornerstone as Vice
President in August 2022. Clint says that the Cornerstone family really gets the concept of Excellence:
“The culture at Cornerstone is one of focusing on the right things, for the right reasons, and in the right
way…things are really done well!”. Clint manages all aspects of project operations.
